From Egg to Chick

Can you imagine the progress from an egg to a chick? It’s amazing to see such progress in pictures. I hope they are not too disgusted to viewers. This is not what we usually seen on tv or magizines.

Come on people is this really something to fight about,i mean you can do this if your exetremly carful, that way the chick want get hurt. All you have to do is take the top part of the shell off and like i said before if your exetremly carful you wont do the chick any harm.

    horrible!! killers!!!

  11. Haley 1 May 2008 at 5:28 pm #

wow. why would you kill all these chicks just for pictures to put on some website?? thats just dumb. be a little bit considerate and think about how the chicks feel. a little chick that was not able to even see the outside world. so you just rip open their shell and take pictures??? thats low.

I think these picture are GREAT! I have been having trouble with my 4 year old son trying to explain to him why he can’t tear down every next he finds in a tree, especially when they have baby bird eggs in them. I know this is going to be extreemly helpful for us.

For those of you who have issues with this, get over it! I know there has to be more than just me out there who find this extreemly helpful.

yeah, they destroy each year several million male chicken, because only the female are needed for the egg production.
I believe this photos are relatively harmless compared to our sick food-production industry..

this is aaahdorable when the baby is actually out of the egg it is soooooo cute!!

To all those dissing the poster. You probably eat at KFC. That should disgust you. They pluck the chickens and put them in boiling water while they’re still alive. and McDonalds. People sell unsellable chickens to McDonalds, and then they cram the edible meat into the mold of their chicken nuggets. The pictures above (or below, whichever case this is) are just of the formation of a little chick. It isn’t disgusting, it’s a part of life. Please get over it. Thanks for the pics poster, i was always confused about this(: Now I know.

    This is so beautiful.
I am a vegetarian and I eat unfertilized eggs all the time.

Also, it’s possible to take pictures of the chick in the egg without killing it. It’s also possible to get detailed real-time pictures of humans in the womb. Its called a 4D sonogram

We are soft. We eat meat, eggs, milk etc. but since we buy them at the store, we are able to live with denial of where they come from.

There is nothing wrong with killing animals for food. That is the natural cycle of life – which most of know of, but have never truely experienced.

Living with a denial of death is living with a denial of life.

Thank you, I am a teacher, and this is a wonderful way to get my students interested in the process happening inside the egg. It is great to see kids get excited about science. Thank you very much.

  42. Jennifer 29 June 2009 at 11:49 pm #

when a chicken lays an egg it is not a baby chicken it is an unfertilized egg, for it to become a chicken the rooster has to spray the egg with its sperm. and who really cares about this when little unborn baby humans are being brutally murdered

Thank you so much for posting these photos. I am homeschooling my children and we are learning about farm animal – specifically chickens this week. One of the things my son (kindergarten) is learning about is how an egg becomes a chick in 21 days. We have chicken at home that are laying, but we aren’t planning on letting any hatch so this was a wonderful way for him to see the science side of eggs to chick. Thank you so much for your efforts.
PS – my kids were not grossed out by this in any way – and we have chickens that are pets. It is important to me that my kids learn the truth not just the warm fuzzy stuff.
