I am homeschooling my children and we are learning about farm animal - specifically chickens this week. One of the things my son (kindergarten) is learning about is how an egg becomes a chick in 21 days. We have chicken at home that are laying, but we aren't planning on letting any hatch so this was a wonderful way for him to see the science side of eggs to chick. Thank you so much for your efforts. PS - my kids were not grossed out by this in any way - and we have chickens that are pets. It is important to me that my kids learn the truth not just the warm fuzzy stuff.
