I’ve never seen this kind of snail in my life before. They are HUGE and weird. They were served as meal too. I can’t imagine people are actually eating it. If you know what kind of species is this, please do tell me. Thank you.

Its a type of shellfish we get up here on Vancouver Island. They make the sand riddled with holes which squirt water at you when you get near. As a kid I used to run through the middle of them, trying to outrun the water shooting up behind me.
Its not a snail. its a type of clam. we get similar ones here in the UK, but they dont look quite as much like willies as the canadian version. lol

it’s not a snail…it’s a kind of shellfish that’s pretty expensive on the market. they serve it at restaurants all the time. americans are so ignorant…they don’t realize the culture around them. i bet anybody can find one of these within a 10 min drive from their house.
its a geoduck, sometimes spelled gweduc. theyre of the noth west coast of the USA. and no, PIE, americans arent ignorant, you are. geoducks are IN america, so they arent a part of the culture surrounding america. and no, very few people cannot find these within a ten min. drive of their house. theyre rare and exspensive in most parts of the US. i live in NY so there are basically almost no geoducks around my house. seriously, what armpit of a country are you from?
