Just when elevator is probably one really safe place where no one can do you any harm as it’s small, private and equipped with CCTV, think again. Here’s a robbery case happened inside an elevator, in Malaysia. Caught on CCTV, but we think the criminals don’t care?

This type of robbery is very rare in Singapore because the Government imposes very harsh, deterent prison sentences to anyone who commits such crimes.

A first time offender who commits lift robbery is likely to be sentenced to a minimum of 7 years & 7 strokes of the cane (flogging), provided that offender doesn’t have a previous criminal record.

The Penal Code of Singapore provides harsh penalties for offences that deal with violence and intimidation.
