Painted Cats

These came from the book said some of the paint jobs cost $15,000 and had to be repeated every 3 months as the cat’s hair grows out. Must be nice to have $60,000 a year just to keep your cat painted!

Some do look nice, but some are just looking funny. Anyway, I think it should really remain natural. Cats look so much nicer naturally than putting paint on them.

You people need your f—— heads examined! In my opinion, you idiots should not own cats as you fail to appreciate the true beauty of these animals. If you are looking for artwork, buy a stuffed animal and dye it. You have no right to subject these beautiful creatures to your narcissicism. Hopefully the PITA will stop you from ever hurting another cat. I refuse to believe this is safe and if your cat could speak, do you think they would agree to this kind of vandalism done to their elegant fur? No two cats are alike – why can’t you appreciate the natural beauty cat’s possess? Here’s a suggestion – how about getting a tatoo for yourself and leave the cats alone.

lol @ skane! those cats sure seemed to be “hurting” from all that paint. leave it to some backwater catloving hick to complain about some pretty interesting art.

i imagine if it hurt the cats, the owners, who seemed to very much enjoy their animals, wouldn’t have it done. perhaps this is why it costs 15,000 each time, because the ink is non toxic, yet permanent.

    i think it kicked ass.

I am sorry but it doesnt seem right period, yes it is a very unique form of expression. But I do not believe that, that is safe for a cats fur let alone thier skin. I agree with Skane I hope PETA puts a stop to this. Lastly, Allen, people have moeny to waste and those people waste money on dead animal furs that are dyed to thier likings, I am sure they do not care what is happening to those beautiful cats.

Very cool. Would they put a tan camo on my springer spaniel? He would hide from the ducks better, so I could shoot, kill and eat them. So yes, I would paint my dog so I have a better chance to shoot, kill, and eat birds. Ted Nugent would be proud.

some of these look cool, but the ones where they’ve put red around the lips to make them look lady like is just plain weird, plus this looks wrong, poor cats, even though it doesnt hurt them but they look ridiculous and why would anyone want their naturally beautiful cats to look fake, i agree with the person who wrote to get a tattoo yourself and leave the cats alone. Its not a good idea, please, you can get money doing some other work.

To those who suggest this is a waste of money and or should be stopped by PETA:
It’s not your life, nor your animal,
you should not impose restrictions upon others’ choices.
I think your moralities are skewed.
    1. They have money and you don’t-maybe you should get more money (which, if you have more, other people have less.)
    2. PETA should stop this – and not stop people from putting them in the microwave or shooting stray cats with shotguns.

I doubt you’ll ever read this, but as a forward to anyone who does:
    Thanks for your time ;)

Well I kinda want to give my cat a mustache but honestly I’m not quite sure about it because I want it to wear off

  22. Amanda 17 February 2012 at 8:49 pm #

these cats are not being harmed the dye used is either vegetable or neutral peroxide plus if the cats were being hurt do you think the detail would come out so good? they would be thrashing around if they were in pain. I also know from experience that some cats enjoy being dyed.

Doesn’t anyone realize the pictures are fake? If they showed a handful I might believe it, but there are 30 examples of photoshopped images. Wake up America, have a clue.
